Expands the definition of "hosting platform" to include marketplaces facilitating rental of real or personal property (residences, vehicles, etc.) for transient use, not just residential units.

Requires hosting platforms to conspicuously disclose any recording devices operating in, on, or around listed properties and request offerors to disclose all recording devices before listing.

Mandates offerors destroy data collected by undisclosed recording devices within 24 hours of notice and disable such devices for the remainder of the rental period, and immediately notify renters of any violations.

Allows renters to void rental agreements immediately and receive full refunds if recording devices were not properly disclosed.

Establishes civil penalties of up to $500 for first violations and up to $1,000 for subsequent violations, with a cumulative cap of $5,000 per property rental; each undisclosed device counts as a separate violation.
