Expands exemptions from California's ABC test for independent contractor classification to include sports officials at youth or adult amateur sports events where participants are not compensated.

Defines "sports official" to include umpires, referees, judges, scorekeepers, timekeepers, organizers, and evaluators or instructors of officials working for sports organizations or associations.

Exempts sports officials from the ABC test, instead applying the Borello standard for determining employee versus independent contractor status.

Exemption does not apply if the official is already exempted from employee classification under another statute, regulation, or provision of the Labor Code, Unemployment Insurance Code, or Industrial Welfare Commission orders.
