AB 3330 Summary

• Increases the CURES (Controlled Substance Utilization Review and Evaluation System) fee from $6 to $11 annually beginning April 1, 2021, then decreases it to $9 beginning April 1, 2023.

• Increases the Podiatric Medical Board's biennial renewal fee from $1,100 to $1,318 effective January 1, 2021.

• Significantly increases acupuncture-related fees effective January 1, 2021, including raising the trainee application fee from $25 to $1,000 and annual renewal from $10 to $500, while decreasing the supervisor registration fee from $200 to $100.

• Increases fees for the Acupuncture Board's main licensing program, including raising application fees to $250 (up to $350), examination fees to $800, and initial/renewal license fees to $500 each, with wall and pocket license fees set at $50 each.

• Raises fees for the Board of Behavioral Sciences (marriage and family therapists, educational psychologists, clinical social workers, and professional clinical counselors) effective January 1, 2021, establishing minimum fees and allowing boards to increase them up to specified maximums, with delinquency fees set at 50% of renewal fees.
