Chancellor's office must develop and provide materials to community college districts to increase awareness of the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program among faculty members, including a one-page form letter, detailed fact sheet, and frequently asked questions document.

Community college districts must annually provide these materials to all faculty employees in written or electronic form, and provide them to newly hired faculty within 30 days of employment.

Districts must annually provide faculty enrolled in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program with renewal notices and completed employment certification forms with the employer portion already filled out, without unreasonable delays.

Districts must credit faculty with at least 3.35 hours worked for each hour of classroom instruction when completing employment certification forms, unless a collective bargaining agreement or employer policy establishes a higher adjustment factor.

Districts must credit faculty hour-for-hour with no adjustment factor for noninstructional assignments when completing employment certification forms.
