Requires UC Firearm Violence Research Center at UC Davis to develop education and training programs for medical and mental health providers on preventing firearm-related injury and death, upon adoption of a resolution by the UC Regents.

Education programs must address epidemiology of firearm-related injury, provider risk assessment, conversations about firearm ownership and storage, intervention tools, and relevant laws and policies.

Center shall create dissemination programs, curricular materials for practitioners in practice and training, continuing medical education resources, website, and patient handouts.

University of California must submit programmatic and financial reports to the Legislature by December 31, 2020, and annually thereafter, including funding sources, participation data, and program accomplishments.

Provisions apply to the University of California only to the extent the UC Regents adopt a resolution making them applicable.
