Director of Developmental Services must identify regional centers needing satellite offices in catchment areas with access barriers, including rural locations, lack of public transportation, or significant travel time.

Director shall consult with identified regional centers by July 1, 2020 to determine appropriate satellite office locations based on accessibility needs and quality of care improvements.

Regional centers identified must inform the public of satellite office plans and open satellite offices offering services to individuals with developmental disabilities by July 1, 2021.

Satellite offices may offer limited services based on the specific needs of eligible individuals in their areas.
