Defines "injury" for firefighters, peace officers, correctional officers, health care workers at acute care hospitals, and fire/rescue coordinators to include COVID-19 illness or death diagnosed on or after January 1, 2020, if diagnosed within 14 days of work and confirmed by a licensed physician within 30 days.

Creates a disputable presumption that COVID-19 injuries arose out of and in the course of employment for covered workers, extending 30 days after termination of service.

Requires claims for COVID-19 injuries to be presumed compensable if not rejected within 30 days of filing, rather than the standard 90-day period.

Requires employers to provide employees with emergency equipment or personal protective equipment without violating Section 6423, and clarifies this is not a misdemeanor violation.

Establishes an expiration date of July 1, 2024, for all provisions related to COVID-19 workers' compensation coverage.
