Designates February 2020 as Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month in California.

Encourages schools, community groups, families, and youth to observe the month with programs and activities that promote healthy teen relationships and raise awareness about teen dating violence.

Notes that one in 10 high school students is physically hurt by a dating partner annually, and one in three adolescents report verbal, emotional, physical, or sexual dating abuse each year.

Highlights disparities in teen dating violence, including 43 percent of LGB teens and 50 percent of transgender youth experiencing abuse.

Calls for comprehensive prevention strategies including teaching relationship skills, engaging adults and peers, and supporting survivors to increase safety.
