Approves continued study by the California Law Revision Commission of 13 previously authorized topics, including creditors' remedies, probate code revision, real and personal property law, family law, civil discovery, evidence code, alternative dispute resolution, administrative law, contracts law, and revisions to the Fish and Game Code and Health and Safety Code chapters 6.5 and 6.8.

Removes 11 topics from the commission's calendar, including studies on minors' rights, attorney's fees, nonprofit associations, common interest housing, legal malpractice statutes of limitation, public records disclosure, criminal sentence enhancements, subdivision and mitigation fee acts, statute construction, charter schools, and mediation confidentiality.

Requires the commission to submit detailed descriptions of the scope of work to the chairs and vice chairs of the Assembly and Senate Judiciary Committees and any other relevant policy committees before commencing any authorized project.

Requires the commission to submit descriptions of any major changes to the scope of work that occur during the course of a project.
