Designates a portion of State Route 140 in Mariposa County between State Route 49 (postmile 22.080) and Triangle Road (postmile 26.290) as the CAL FIRE Firefighter Braden Varney Memorial Highway.

Honors CAL FIRE Heavy Fire Equipment Operator Braden Varney, who died on July 14, 2018, at age 36 while battling the Ferguson Fire in Mariposa County.

Requests the Department of Transportation determine the cost of appropriate memorial signs and erect them upon receiving donations from nonstate sources to cover the expenses.

Recognizes Varney's 10-year service with the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and his dedication to public service, following in the footsteps of his late father who also died in the line of duty.
