Recognizes March 2020 as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month in California, focusing on inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in education, employment, and community living.

References the federal Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act (enacted in 2000) and California's Lanterman Developmental Disabilities Services Act (enacted in 1973, amended in 1977).

Notes that as of January 1, 2020, approximately 719,640 Californians live with developmental disabilities, with 350,047 served by regional centers.

Commends efforts of organizations including the State Council on Developmental Disabilities, Disability Rights California, The Arc, and regional center agencies in increasing awareness and acceptance of people with developmental disabilities.

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to transmit copies of the resolution to the author for appropriate distribution.
