Recognizes July 4, 2020 as the 244th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the founding of the United States of America.

Calls upon all people of California and the United States to increase their knowledge and understanding of the historical facts and principles of liberty, equality, and self-determination embodied in the Declaration of Independence.

Expresses the Assembly's heartfelt thanks, appreciation, and prayers to all members of the Armed Forces of the United States, both past and present, for their sacrifices in preserving and defending American freedoms.

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to distribute suitable copies of this resolution to Members of the Assembly for their use.
