Designates August 2020 as American Muslim Appreciation and Awareness Month in California.

Acknowledges approximately one million American Muslims residing in California and their contributions to the state's cultural, political, and economic fabric.

Highlights contributions of American Muslims including military service, civil rights organizations, educational institutions, healthcare providers, and notable figures in entertainment, sports, law, and public office.

Recognizes increasing incidents of vandalism, intimidation, and hate speech targeting American Muslims and mosques, including the 2019 burning of a mosque in Escondido.

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to transmit copies of the resolution for appropriate distribution.
