Approves provisions of the memorandum of understanding between the state employer and State Bargaining Unit 6 (California Correctional Peace Officers Association) dated July 3, 2019, that require expenditure of funds

Provisions requiring expenditure of funds will not take effect unless funds are specifically appropriated by the Legislature; either party may reopen negotiations if funds are not appropriated

Provisions become effective upon legislative approval in any form of legislation, not limited to the annual Budget Act

Appropriates $131,163,000 for State Bargaining Unit 6 employee compensation in the 2019–20 fiscal year: $128,280,000 from the General Fund, $1,932,000 from unallocated special funds, and $951,000 from nongovernmental cost funds

Establishes continuous appropriation for State Bargaining Unit 6, 8, and 10 employee compensation and benefits for the 2020–21 fiscal year if the Budget Act is not enacted by July 1, 2020
