Requires the Department of Fish and Wildlife, in consultation with the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, to annually study and report to the Legislature on wildlife impacts from catastrophic wildfires in the Sierra Nevada region, starting by December 31, 2021.

Reports must include information on catastrophic wildfires' impacts on ecosystems, habitat, biodiversity, and species protected under the California Endangered Species Act (endangered, threatened, and candidate species).

The first report due December 31, 2021 must also include information about catastrophic wildfires that occurred in the Sierra Nevada region during 2017-2020.

Defines "catastrophic wildfire" as any wildfire burning 10,000 or more acres in the state.

Defines "Sierra Nevada region" according to Section 33302 of the Public Resources Code.
