Defines cadastral surveying as a survey that creates, marks, defines, retraces, or reestablishes boundaries and subdivisions of public land or other field surveys of a public record, map, or survey of land extent and ownership.

Allows record of survey data to be presented in graphic or narrative form in addition to existing requirements.

Requires a state or local agency head who determines services are technical in nature and exempt from competitive bidding to be licensed in that discipline if licensure is required.

Extends hearing timelines for subdivision map appeals from 30 days to 45 days after request is filed by the appellant, with conforming changes throughout the Subdivision Map Act provisions.

Makes nonsubstantive changes to gender-specific pronouns in the Professional Land Surveyors' Act.
