Limits probation periods for minors adjudged as wards of the court to a maximum of 6 months under probation supervision in the community.

Allows courts to extend probation beyond 6 months for up to an additional 6 months only after a noticed hearing and upon clear and convincing evidence that extension is in the ward's best interest.

Requires probation agencies to submit a report to the court detailing the basis for any request to extend probation, and requires courts to state reasons for extension decisions in the minute order.

Mandates that conditions of probation for wards be individually tailored, developmentally appropriate, and reasonable, in addition to being fitting and proper for justice and rehabilitation.

Permits early termination of a ward's probation before the end of the 6-month period if circumstances warrant.
