Vacates unpaid outstanding balances of county-assessed or court-ordered costs imposed before January 1, 2018, against parents or guardians of minors adjudged as wards of juvenile court or on probation.

Applies to costs related to transportation to juvenile facilities, legal assistance, home supervision, and other expenses under specified Welfare and Institutions Code sections.

Vacates unpaid balances for costs imposed on minors before January 1, 2018, for drug and substance abuse testing pursuant to Section 729.9.

Vacates unpaid balances of costs imposed before January 1, 2018, on individuals who were 21 years of age or younger at the time they were under criminal court jurisdiction, related to home detention programs and administrative fees.

All vacated costs are declared unenforceable and uncollectable, effective September 30, 2020.
