CA SB1458

Amends Section 8257 of the Welfare and Institutions Code to add a representative of the State Department of Public Health to the Homeless Coordinating and Financing Council.

Increases the maximum council membership from 19 to 20 members to accommodate the new public health representative.

Requires the Governor to appoint the new public health representative alongside existing appointees from other state agencies, local government, nonprofits, and formerly homeless individuals and youth.

Council maintains its existing goals of identifying resources to prevent and end homelessness, creating partnerships among state and local entities, and coordinating funding and policy efforts statewide.
