Amends Section 3502.1 of the Business and Professions Code regarding physician assistant authority to furnish or order drugs and devices

Modifies supervision requirements to specify that physician supervision requires both adherence to the practice agreement and physician availability by telephone or electronic communication at the time of patient examination

Clarifies that physician assistants may furnish or order Schedule II or III controlled substances either through practice agreement or via patient-specific orders approved by a supervising physician

Makes nonsubstantive technical changes to existing physician assistant practice provisions
