Authorizes legislative bodies in Butte County to extend the expiration date of approved tentative maps and vesting tentative maps by up to 36 months for maps approved between January 1, 2006 and March 31, 2019 that relate to single or multifamily housing construction.

Requires any state agency approvals pertaining to development projects included in extended maps to also be extended by 36 months if not already expired.

Extensions granted under this provision are in addition to any other expiration date extensions already available under existing law.

Exempts local agencies from state reimbursement requirements by recognizing their authority to levy service charges and fees sufficient to pay for the mandated program.

Takes effect immediately as an urgency statute to preserve housing development applications for persons displaced by the Camp Fire incident.
