Amends Penal Code Section 18140 to modify the filing deadline for temporary emergency gun violence restraining orders.

Law enforcement officers must file a copy of the order with the court "as soon as practicable, but not later than three court days" after issuance, replacing the previous "as soon as practicable" standard.

Maintains existing requirements for law enforcement to serve the order on the restrained person and enter it into the Department of Justice's protective and restraining orders database.
