CA SB918

Amends the special nonprofit sales license provisions to allow both nonprofit mutual benefit corporations and nonprofit public benefit corporations to obtain the license, changing the reference from the Revenue and Taxation Code to the Nonprofit Mutual Benefit Corporation Law and Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law.

Requires wine bottled on or after January 1, 2023, labeled with an American Viticultural Area located entirely within Mendocino County to display "Mendocino County" on the label in type sizes of at least 2 millimeters for containers larger than 187 milliliters or at least 1 millimeter for smaller containers.

Exempts violations of the Mendocino County wine labeling requirements from civil or criminal penalties, but authorizes the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control to suspend or revoke licenses of violators.

Does not apply the labeling requirement to wines labeled with an appellation that already includes "Mendocino" in its name.
