Requests the Department of Transportation determine the cost of appropriate signs for this special designation and erect them upon receiving donations from nonstate sources to cover costs

Honors Officer Laurits "Pepe" Petersen, who served 30 years with the Stockton Police Department from 1968 to 1998 as a patrol officer and homicide detective, and later worked as an investigator for the San Joaquin County District Attorney's Office

Officer Petersen died on February 23, 2016, after being stabbed and shot during an attack in Stockton near Cortez Park
