Proclaims June 19, 2020 as Veterans of the Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces Day in California to honor South Vietnamese Armed Forces members.

Recognizes that more than 250,000 South Vietnamese Armed Forces members and more than 58,000 U.S. Armed Forces members were killed during the Vietnam War, with over 300,000 U.S. and 1,000,000 South Vietnamese service members injured.

Acknowledges that after the Fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975, more than 250,000 South Vietnamese Armed Forces members were sent to prison camps where many spent 18 years or more in captivity and over 20,000 died.

Honors the more than 100,000 Vietnam-era veterans from the Republic of Vietnam currently living in California who fled to seek democracy and freedom and have contributed to American society.

Recognizes that Vietnamese American communities worldwide commemorate Republic of Vietnam Armed Forces Day annually on June 19, marking the 55th anniversary of this commemoration in 2020.
