Acknowledges female workers who contributed on the homefront by working in factories, farms, shipyards, airplane factories, banks, and other institutions in support of military operations overseas

Honors women who volunteered with the United Service Organizations (USO) and American Red Cross, drove trucks, riveted airplane parts, collected materials, rolled bandages, and served on rationing boards

Designates the date during Women's History Month to recognize and preserve the history and legacy of working women during World War II
