Extends deadlines for developing model curricula on the Vietnamese American refugee experience, Cambodian genocide, and Hmong history and cultural studies from December 31, 2022 to December 31, 2026, with state board adoption by March 31, 2027.

Requires the Instructional Quality Commission to develop curricula with participation from cultural centers, community groups, survivors, and teachers with relevant experience in these subject areas.

Model curricula must include diverse perspectives through writings, media, and oral testimony; be appropriate for elementary, middle, and high schools; and serve as guides for school districts to adapt courses to community needs.

Encourages school districts to offer Vietnamese American refugee experience and Cambodian genocide courses as social sciences or world history electives in grades 7-12 and Hmong studies courses in grades 9-12.

Implementation is contingent upon receipt of grants, donations, or other financial support from private or public sources, including potential Budget Act appropriations.
