Requires the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection to develop and implement a program to predict and respond to wildfire ignition events using remote sensing and weather forecasting technologies.

Mandates the department establish information-sharing and coordination mechanisms among local, state, and federal agencies responding to wildfires through emergency communication technologies.

Adds Section 4123.8 to the Public Resources Code to formalize these wildfire detection and response requirements.
