Requires California Department of Justice to analyze firearm tracing data it collects on crime guns to identify patterns, trends, and sources of illegally possessed or crime-used firearms.

Mandates the Department of Justice submit an annual report to the Legislature by July 1, 2023, and annually thereafter, summarizing analysis of recovered firearms data.

Report must include total firearms recovered, numbers disaggregated by county and city, firearms dealers involved in most recent sales, manufacturers, and unserialized firearms data.

Department must make the annual report publicly available and maintain collected firearm information for at least 10 years for academic and policy research purposes.

Requires law enforcement agencies to report all available information on recovered firearms that are illegally possessed, used in crime, or suspected of crime use to the Department of Justice within seven days.
