Extends the deferred entry of judgment pilot program in six counties (Alameda, Butte, Napa, Nevada, Santa Clara, and Ventura) from January 1, 2022 to January 1, 2024.

Allows defendants ages 18-20 at time of offense to participate in the program within juvenile hall if charged with felonies (with specified exceptions), plead guilty, and meet probation department requirements.

Permits defendants ages 21-24 to participate with approval of a county multidisciplinary team.

Requires counties to submit program data to the Board of State and Community Corrections and mandates a comprehensive evaluation report to be submitted to the Legislature by December 31, 2022 (previously December 31, 2020).

Establishes that defendants may serve no longer than one year in juvenile hall custody and must be kept separate from minors; requires development of reentry service plans including housing, employment, and education.
