Authorizes the Military Department to perform independent security assessments of local educational agencies or individual schoolsites upon request and in consultation with the California Cybersecurity Integration Center.

Requires local educational agencies to fund the cost of their own independent security assessments performed by the Military Department.

Establishes that assessment criteria shall be developed by the Military Department in coordination with the requesting local educational agency.

Limits disclosure of assessment results to only the local educational agency and the California Cybersecurity Integration Center.

Defines "local educational agency" as a school district, county office of education, charter school, or state special school.
