Establishes jurisdiction for Attorney General criminal actions involving theft, organized retail theft, and receipt of stolen property to include the county where the offense occurred, where merchandise was recovered, or where the defendant committed acts to instigate, procure, or aid in the offense.

Allows any jurisdiction to prosecute all related offenses when multiple theft or stolen property violations involving the same defendant(s) and same merchandise, or same defendant(s) and same scheme or substantially similar activity, occur across multiple counties.

Extends jurisdiction to all associated offenses connected in commission to the underlying theft, organized retail theft, or receipt of stolen property offenses.

Approved by Governor September 30, 2022 and filed with Secretary of State the same date.
