Requires the Chancellor of the California Community Colleges and Chancellor of the California State University to develop survey questions about student perspectives on campus climate using trauma-informed language, and requests the University of California President to do the same.

Mandates consultation with student organizations and trauma experts, including nonprofit organizations specializing in campus climate, during question development.

Requires submission of developed questions to the United States Secretary of Education for review and approval for incorporation into the federal online survey tool for campus safety established by Public Law 117–103.

Mandates submission of campus-level survey results reports to the Assembly Committee on Higher Education and Senate Committee on Education beginning one year after the survey becomes available and every two years thereafter.

Defines "campus climate" as the attitudes, practices, and behaviors of campus life that impact the success and retention of campus community members.
