Amends Section 3345 of the Civil Code to extend protections for senior citizens and disabled persons to include veterans in civil actions against unfair or deceptive practices.

Allows courts to impose fines, civil penalties, or other remedies up to three times greater than statutory authorization when unfair or deceptive conduct targets veterans.

Requires courts to consider three specific factors: whether defendant knew conduct was directed at veterans, whether conduct caused substantial loss of residence, employment, income, or retirement assets, and whether veterans were particularly vulnerable due to age, health, or disability.

Applies to civil actions brought by, on behalf of, or for the benefit of veterans as defined in Government Code Section 18540.4.

Approved by Governor July 1, 2022, effective as Chapter 78.
