Prohibits officers, employees, operators, lessees, or licensees of the 31st District Agricultural Association from contracting for, authorizing, or allowing the sale of firearms, firearm precursor parts, or ammunition at the Ventura County Fair and Event Center or any successor property operated by the district.

Exempts gun buyback events conducted by law enforcement agencies from the prohibition.

Exempts sales by public administrators, public conservators, or public guardians acting within their official duties from the prohibition.

Exempts firearm sales or ammunition purchases pursuant to contracts entered into before January 1, 2023, and ammunition purchases by law enforcement agencies in the course of regular duties.

Approved by Governor July 21, 2022; applies state-mandated local program rules with no state reimbursement required as violations constitute new crimes under existing law.
