Allow electronic media advertisements that are graphics, images, animated graphics, or animated images to display required disclosures directly on the advertisement itself as an alternative to linking to a website containing the disclosures.

Require committees disseminating online platform disclosed advertisements to notify the online platform and provide the committee's disclosure name, candidate information, and identification number.

Require online platforms to display "Paid for by" or "Ad Paid for by" followed by the committee's disclosure name adjacent to advertisement sponsorship notices, or provide a clickable hyperlink with text like "Who funded this ad?"

Require online platforms to maintain and publicly display records of advertisements from committees spending $500 or more in the preceding 12 months, including digital copies, view counts, spending information, and candidate or ballot measure details.

Declare the bill furthers the purposes of the Political Reform Act of 1974 and renders it inoperative if Senate Bill 1360 is enacted, takes effect by January 1, 2023, and amends Section 84504.3.
