Requires vehicle history report providers to clearly and conspicuously disclose their contact information so consumers can submit inquiries about vehicle history information or request research into discrepancies.

Vehicle history report providers must confirm receipt of a California resident's inquiry within three days and provide a means to obtain regular updates until the request is completed.

Vehicle history report providers must use reasonable efforts to complete inquiries within 14 days; if delays beyond their reasonable control occur, they must notify the consumer by day 15 and provide weekly updates thereafter.

Voids any attempted waiver of these provisions as contrary to public policy.

Does not affect responsibilities under Vehicle Code Section 11713.26, which controls if there is any conflict with this section.
