Establishes the Pupil Peer Support Training Program, subject to legislative appropriation, to support peer support training programs in grades 9-12.

Requires the Superintendent of Public Instruction to develop an application process and administration plan by January 31, 2024, and award grants competitively to local educational agencies.

Mandates that a school staff member with a pupil personnel services credential supervise peer support training and services, with community-based organizations and volunteers permitted to assist under this supervision.

Requires staff members and volunteers from community-based organizations participating in the program to complete criminal background checks per Education Code Section 45125.1.

Directs the Superintendent to compile a list of evidence-based peer support programs meeting program requirements and post it online by January 1, 2024, with grantees required to provide program data to the department.
