CA AB2301

Amends the distance requirement for on-sale retailers that are beer manufacturers to purchase alcoholic beverages from their own production, changing from requiring contiguous or adjacent premises to allowing purchase from beer manufacturers located no more than 5 miles away.

Allows holders of no more than six on-sale licenses to own and operate a licensed beer manufacturer, with restrictions on total retail locations exercised.

Requires on-sale retailers to purchase alcoholic beverages only from wholesale or winegrower licensees, except for beverages manufactured by the beer manufacturer within 5 miles of the on-sale premises.

Incorporates conditional amendments from AB 2307 if both bills are enacted, with Section 1.5 becoming operative only if this bill is enacted after AB 2307.
