Requires California State University and California Community Colleges chancellors to mandate each campus with student housing collect and post data twice per academic year on external and internal websites, including enrollment numbers, available housing beds, and waiting list information.

Requests (but does not require) the University of California President's office to implement the same student housing data collection and posting requirements.

Data collection must include number of enrolled students, existing housing stock, students on waiting lists, student housing requests, and demographic breakdowns of incoming freshmen, transfer students, and international students requiring housing.

Chancellors of California State University and California Community Colleges must submit annual compiled reports to the Legislature starting October 15, 2023, with the University of California requested to do the same.

Authorizes reimbursement to local agencies and school districts for state-mandated costs if the Commission on State Mandates determines such costs exist.
