Office of Emergency Services shall ensure its California State Warning Center integrates a plan for targeted alerts for public health dangers, including wildfire smoke, upon the next update to its emergency plan.

Office of Emergency Services shall create a standard operating procedure to send text and voice messages in multiple languages to residents and farmworkers based on ZIP codes alerting them of public health dangers in their area.

Counties shall integrate targeted alerts for public health dangers into their emergency plans upon the next update, including procedures to send multilingual text and voice messages by ZIP code.

Coordination required between the Office of Emergency Services, counties, cities and counties, emergency managers, and other emergency system operations partners.

State shall reimburse local agencies and school districts for costs mandated by this act, if determined by the Commission on State Mandates.
