Requires new construction and modernization projects submitted to the Division of the State Architect to include water bottle filling stations: minimum one per modernization project, or one per 350 people for new construction projects.

Water bottle filling stations must be placed in high traffic areas (hallways, gymnasiums, food service areas, outdoor recreation areas, faculty lounges) and dispense water meeting primary and secondary drinking water standards with regular cleaning and maintenance.

Applies only to projects submitted to the Division of the State Architect three months after voters approve a statewide general obligation bond for school facilities on or after November 1, 2022.

Allows pupils, teachers, and staff to bring and carry water bottles to school, with exclusions permitted in libraries, computer labs, science labs, and other hazardous areas.

Requires school administrators to inform teachers, staff, parents, and pupils of water bottle rights through handbooks and websites, and to promote water consumption through educational activities and signage.
