Amends Penal Code Section 633 to exempt peace officers of the Office of Correctional Safety within the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation from eavesdropping and recording prohibitions.

Extends existing law exemptions that previously applied only to Office of Internal Affairs peace officers to now include Office of Correctional Safety peace officers.

Allows these officers to overhear or record communications that they could lawfully overhear or record prior to January 1, 1968.

Makes evidence obtained through such overhearing or recording admissible in legal proceedings.

Updates gender-specific language in the statute from "his or her" to "their" for inclusive pronoun usage.
