Expands who can petition for gun violence restraining orders to include roommates, individuals in dating relationships with the subject, and individuals who have a child in common with the subject (if they've had substantial and regular interactions for at least one year).

Broadens the definition of "immediate family member" to include any person related by consanguinity or affinity within the fourth degree who has had substantial and regular interactions with the subject for at least one year, in addition to existing categories like spouses, domestic partners, parents, and children.

Applies the expanded petitioner eligibility to all three types of gun violence restraining order petitions: ex parte orders (up to 21 days), initial court orders (1-5 years), and order renewals.

Maintains existing requirements that petitioners demonstrate the subject poses a significant danger of self-harm or harm to another in the near future and that the order is necessary to prevent personal injury.
