Requires express warranties made by manufacturers, distributors, or retail sellers to start no earlier than the date of delivery of the consumer good.

Adds Section 1793.01 to the Civil Code to establish this express warranty commencement requirement.

Does not apply to express warranties made before July 1, 2023.

Does not affect the ability to make express warranties, only when they may commence under California's Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act.

Approved by Governor September 22, 2022 and became Chapter 464.
