Establishes alternative management standards for treated wood waste that is hazardous solely due to preservatives registered under federal law, allowing compliance with either hazardous waste requirements or the new standards in the bill.

Requires treated wood waste handlers to label, store, track, and transport treated wood waste according to specified standards including prohibition on burning, scavenging, and composting.

Mandates disposal of treated wood waste only in Class I hazardous waste landfills or composite-lined portions of solid waste landfills meeting specified requirements.

Requires wood preserving industry to maintain websites and disseminate outreach materials about proper handling and disposal of treated wood waste to generators and facilities.

Sunsets the bill's provisions on January 1, 2030, if the Department of Toxic Substances Control notifies the Legislature by July 1, 2028, that it can safely manage treated wood waste under standard hazardous waste laws.
