Extends the exemption for cutting or removing trees on a person's property in compliance with defensible space requirements from January 1, 2022 to January 1, 2026.

Allows property owners to create fuel breaks up to 300 feet on each side of approved and legally permitted habitable structures by removing trees that create vertical and horizontal fuel continuity.

Requires that notices of exemption be prepared and signed by a registered professional forester and submitted to the Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

Specifies that postharvest conditions must reduce fire behavior and includes requirements for residual stocking standards, slash treatment, and stand composition between 150 and 300 feet from structures.

Exemption becomes inoperative on January 1, 2026, requiring reauthorization if the program is to continue beyond that date.
