Removes the condition limiting bodily contact recreation at Bear Lake Reservoir to 4 months per year, allowing it year-round subject to other safety requirements.

Eliminates the minimum monitoring frequency requirement (previously 3 times during the contact period), allowing the State Water Resources Control Board to determine appropriate monitoring frequency.

Extends all recreational use provisions indefinitely by deleting the January 1, 2022 repeal date.

Requires Lake Alpine Water Company to continue filing biennial reports to the Legislature on recreational uses and water treatment programs at the reservoir.

Maintains requirements for complete water treatment (including microfiltration and disinfection) and monitoring for cryptosporidium, giardia, and coliform bacteria before recreational water contact is permitted.
