Expands communicable disease reporting requirements to apply to all health facilities (skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, and other care facilities) rather than only skilled nursing facilities during declared emergencies.

Requires health facilities to report communicable disease data including disease-related deaths and suspected disease-related deaths to the State Department of Public Health within 24 hours of occurrence.

Mandates health facilities notify patients or residents and their representatives and family members about communicable disease cases in their facility in compliance with state and federal privacy laws.

Requires the State Department of Public Health to post weekly updates on its website showing the total number of disease-related and suspected disease-related deaths reported from health facilities while protecting patient privacy.

Specifies that the department may implement this section through an All Facilities Letter or similar instruction without formal regulatory procedures.
