Exempts ambulances owned or operated by fire departments of federally recognized tribes from licensing requirements under the California Highway Patrol Commissioner and prohibits the department from inspecting those ambulances.

Extends the ambulance driver certificate exemption to members of fire departments of federally recognized tribes, allowing them to operate ambulances in the line of duty without meeting standard certificate requirements.

Classifies vehicles owned or operated by federally recognized Indian tribes used for emergency, fire, ambulance, or lifesaving calls as authorized emergency vehicles under Vehicle Code Sections 165, 2501, and 2510.

Exempts operators of ambulances owned or operated by fire departments of federally recognized tribes from submitting identification data, inspection reports, and other requirements applicable to private ambulance operators.
